It's hard to believe that today marks one year since we were married! The year has gone by so fast! We won't take too much time today to update our blog...will add more later! Since it is our anniversary, we should spend our time together and not on the computer! Our anniversary began with John getting home around midnight from work. I arranged for a friend to make a "Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake"---since John loves Reeses PB Cups! We shared a piece at midnight. Soon after, we discovered that our dear, sweet puppy (who had turned one the day before our anniversary) had an upset tummy...and got sick all over the kitchen and sunroom floor. So, we were on our hands and knees scrubbing the floors about 12:30 last night! What a way to begin our anniversary! I commented to John as we sat on the couch with Kona, making sure she didn't get sick anymore, that it was just like having kids...a sick one between us kind of takes the romance out of our time on the couch!
This morning we went to church, then went to brunch after. We ran into John's parents, sister, Neomi, and her boys at church, so they joined us for brunch.
When we came home, we shared our gifts with each other. John gave me some shelving units to help organize some of my scrapbooking items. Then he told me to go rest on the couch with Kona, while he put them together (he knows I enjoy a Sunday afternoon nap!!!) I photographed all of his antique glass pieces, mostly carnival glass, put them into a binder along with information cards that describe the piece, where it was purchased, etc.
We are getting ready to go to the zoo...and enjoy the 72 degree temps today!!! John has plans for dinner somewhere for us, but hasn't revealed where we are going! Stay tuned for more updates...as well as photos and other info about our summer!
Thanks for all the kind wishes from friends and family!
